The AI Leadership Lab: Governing AI in K–12 is an interactive experience for district and campus leaders navigating what AI means for schools right now. Presented by friEdTech, this lab moves beyond AI tools to tackle the real questions leaders are facing around use, learning, policy, and accountability.
Throughout the day, leaders will explore the current state of AI in education, build and use an AI prompt tailored to their role, examine what is and is not acceptable AI use, and discuss what truly counts as evidence of student learning in an AI-enabled world. Participants will also dig into the differences between policy, procedure, and protocol and consider what actually protects and prepares their district.
This is a hands-on, discussion-driven day designed to give leaders practical strategies, new perspectives, and AI-ready approaches they can immediately take back to their teams and districts.
